Final Exam & Course Assignment

Your final examination combines questions that pertain to ambulatory family and internal medicine. In order to pass the exam, you will need to score a 70% or above. This will be administered on the last afternoon of the block and will be based on the following:

  • Family Medicine Textbook
  • Internal Medicine Textbook
  • Material Presented during Friday didactic sessions

Course Assignment - You will also be required to complete either:

  • a written paper, or
  • an in-class presentation using Power Point

Your work will be case based, specifically on a patient that you have seen during this block. This assignment is due on the final day of the rotation and must be completed in order to take the final exam. Class presentations will be made during the final Friday morning session of the block. Please refer to the project description for the details of this assignment. You will be expected to decide which format you will utilize (paper or presentation) by week 7 of the block so that we can ensure adequate time for student presentations. In order to receive a passing grade on the final case study assignment, you must receive a grade of 14 (out of 20 possible) or higher.
