The residents are eligible for free DEA during their training (savings of $551.00).
- Conferences
The residents have a chance to attend multiple conferences at no cost or receive stipends from the department to offset the cost.
- Relocation Allowance
The UCLA GME office pays for up to $2500.00 in relocation assistance.
- Free Parking
Parking at all medical centers is fully paid by the residency office (savings of $68.00 per month).
- Two Residency Retreats
All residents are excused to attend two retreats each year:
- Fall Retreat – one day retreat, usually takes place at the end of September at the program director's house
- Winter Retreat – two day retreat, usually takes place over a weekend in January at various locations in the Southern California
- Library
Free access to UCLA Medical Library resources including PubMed, UpToDate, MDConsult, Harrison's Online, etc.
