The Health Disparities Summer Program is just what you are looking for! The UCLA Department of Family Medicine Medical Student Summer Research Program is collaborating with the Drew/UCLA Project Export to offer a special summer research program that is designed to expose students to a variety of projects and didactic seminars highlighting research methods and issues related to disparities research. This includes ethical issues, community based participatory research and health policy. The students will spend 8 weeks in a research experience under the direct mentorship of a UCLA and/or DREW faculty member allowing them to explore potential careers in health disparities and/or minority health. Students in the program also benefit from participation in health fairs and clinical precepting.
